This week I had the exciting opportunity to create a Google Earth Story of one of my favorite parks in the city I grew up in (linked below). It is quite a basic interpretation, however, it was fun to learn how to use the program.

After evaluating my HP5 video to the SAMR Model, I believe that my video contributes to the redefinition transformation section. As the video I created is very straightforward on how to create and use Kahoot, it would contribute to a fun and comprehensive learning experience for students. One of the only problems that I believe could be encountered when comparing the HP5 video to the Bates model is not every student has access to technology to participate in the Kahoot game. A way that we bypassed this in summer camp, was multiple children would team up with leaders so everyone felt included.

When comparing the SAMR model to Bates Model, I find both to be crucial in evaluating the usability of multimedia in the classroom. However, I think I would choose the SAMR model over the Bates Model. This is because as an educator, I would want to ensure that the multimedia I have chosen to use is transformative to students learning rather than only an enhancement of previous learning tools.
